“if you could change one thing, what would it be?”
-Anonymous

this is such a vague question.

if I could change one thing that I’ve done, I wouldn’t change anything. you know that philosophy “don’t regret anything, because at one time it was exactly what you wanted”? I don’t really believe in that. I have all kinds of regrets, but learning to live with your mistakes is the only way anyone can be truly happy.

if I had the power to change other people’s minds, then the world would be a lot more accepting. of course, ideally there wouldn’t be any kind of hate crimes, ignorance, poverty, lack of education and everything else that’s tripping the world up right now. the only thing I can say about this, though, is that every day we wake up with the power to change- to educate, to teach, to challenge society’s norm; as long as we’re patient and remember what we’re fighting for, we make a tiny dent in the seemingly impenetrable wall of the opposing forces.
